If only I could live a life

Without pain
Where disappointments and expectations never existed
Perhaps, I would be happy

If only I could live in a world
Where only present matters
Past never haunts
Future never bothers
Perhaps, I would be happy

If only I could live in a world
Where gender, color, class, or raceĀ
Is nothing
Where society is undivided by wealth, religion, or power
Where harsh collocates not with reality
Perhaps, the real would be the ideal
The ideal the real
And perhaps, I would be happy

If only these would come true
Perhaps —-
But I guess these would not happen soon
For in a world where suffering is life
Peace, a struggle
Happiness, a dream
A utopia can never be seen

And I, part of the unimagined world,
Can only live in this reality
Continue to suffer, to struggle, and to dream
That one day, everything would be perfect
As if life and death never existed.
